Trial Reels mini-factory — how to automatically repost your best-performing videos to other accounts

Set it up once, and Craft takes your best-performing Reels, makes each copy unique and posts them as trial Reels to your extra accounts on a schedule.

Updated: October 25, 2026

The trial Reels mini-factory takes videos that have already done well and posts them to your other accounts as trial Reels: only people who don't follow the account see them. Every copy is made unique (picture, sound, caption), so Instagram doesn't treat it as a duplicate. You set it up once, and from then on the factory works on a schedule, from 1 video a day to 10.

How it works#

  1. You choose where to take videos from: your own connected accounts, or any public account by username.
  2. You define what counts as a hit, in tiers. For example: first the 10 best videos of the month; when those run out, everything 1.5 times better than a typical video over 3 months; then everything above average.
  3. You choose the accounts to post to, how many videos a day and at what hours.
  4. The factory downloads the video ahead of time, changes the picture and sound, mixes in a background sound if you want, prepares the caption and schedules the post. The video goes out as a trial Reel.
  5. Everything that went out and everything that didn't is in the log — with the reason and the views.

What you need#

  • A connected Instagram account to post to. Instagram turns on trial Reels for public professional accounts with 200 or more followers.
  • Source videos: your own account with numbers in "Stats", or the username of any public account.
  • Credits: 1 credit per published video. Available on every plan, including the free one.

Step 1. Open the mini-factory#

"Content Factory" → the "Trial Reels" tab → "Set up the factory".

Step 2. Choose sources#

Select your own accounts and add others by username. Craft scans other people's accounts itself: the latest videos appear first, then the library fills up over time. For accounts that aren't yours, you need to confirm that you are responsible for posting their videos.

⚠️ For other people's accounts, Instagram only provides views, likes and comments. A tier based on reach or saves will only pick videos from your own accounts.

Step 3. Set up the tiers#

Each tier has a period (7, 30, 90 days or all time), a metric (views, reach, likes, comments, shares, saves) and a rule:

  • Top N — the N videos with the highest number;
  • Above a threshold — for example, from 100,000 views;
  • Above average — how many times better a video is than a typical video from the same account;
  • All — everything within the period.

Below that are the video length (up to 90 seconds by default) and words to skip. Click "Preview the queue": the factory shows which videos it will take and in what order. You can move any video to the front or exclude it.

Step 4. Choose the accounts to post to#

If an account doesn't have trial Reels yet, choose what to do:

  • Post as regular Reels for now — videos go out as regular Reels, and once the account reaches 200 followers, the factory switches to trial Reels by itself;
  • Wait for trials — post nothing until trial Reels become available.

If you have several accounts, choose how to distribute: Different reels (on the same day each account gets a different video, and the same video reaches the next account after the number of days you set) or Same reel for all (on the same day, at different hours).

Step 5. Schedule#

How many videos a day per account and at what hours. Within the window, videos go out at varied times, not every day at the same minute.

Warm-up (on by default): a new account starts with 2 videos a day and adds one every 3 days until it reaches your number.

When the videos in your tiers run out, the factory can wait for new ones, go in a loop (the same video to the same account no sooner than the period you set, with a fresh uniqueness treatment each time) or stop and send you a notification.

Step 6. Uniqueness and sound#

  • Light — changes you can't see by eye;
  • Strong — more noticeable: zoom, brightness and contrast, light grain, speed ±4%;
  • Maximum — strong, and always with a background sound.

The background sound can go over the sound (quietly, under speech) or instead of the sound (for videos without speech). Sounds come from the Craft library (nature, city, ambient, noise) or are your own: the "Sounds" tab → "Upload a sound", mp3, m4a, wav or ogg up to 20 MB.

Step 7. Caption and launch#

The caption is set separately for your own and other people's videos: Same as the source (your @username is swapped for the username of the account the video goes to), AI rewrites (the same meaning in different words; other people's usernames and links are removed) or My template. You can add a funnel keyword at the end — then the trial video brings people into your DMs.

Who shows the video to followers: Instagram itself, if the video does well, or you, with a button in the Instagram app.

Click "Start the factory". The first videos are scheduled within a few minutes. The "Post one now" button publishes a video outside the schedule — handy for checking what the result looks like.

💡 Want to see the videos first? Turn on "First reels need approval", for example 3: they'll wait for your "Approve" in the log.

With Claude or ChatGPT#

If Craft is connected to Claude or ChatGPT, you can set up the factory in plain words: "take my best-performing Reels from the last month and post 3 a day as trial Reels to @second_account". The AI shows the queue, tells you the price and starts the factory only after your "yes".

Not available yet#

  • Sources are Instagram only. The factory doesn't take videos from TikTok or YouTube yet.
  • You can't show a trial video to followers from Craft — only in the Instagram app.

Frequently asked questions#

Won't Instagram block me for identical videos?#

Each copy is changed differently: frame, color, encoding, audio fingerprint, caption. On top of that come the warm-up of new accounts, time spread and an offset between accounts. Nobody can give guarantees, but the factory does everything so the copies don't look like duplicates.

How much does it cost?#

1 credit per published video. If a video doesn't go out, the credit is returned.

Why was a video skipped?#

The reason is in the log. Most often: the video is longer than the filter allows, the source deleted it, or you ran out of credits.

Why did a video go out as a regular Reel, not a trial?#

The account has fewer than 200 followers or Instagram hasn't turned on trial Reels for it yet, and the setting is "Post as regular Reels for now". As soon as trial Reels become available, the factory switches to them by itself.

Can I post other people's videos?#

You can, but you are responsible for it: the author can report it to Instagram and the video will be removed. Reposting your own videos is the safest option.

What happens if I stop or delete the factory?#

New videos stop being scheduled. Posts that are already scheduled stay in "Publishing" — you can cancel them there.
