Instagram: \"No publishing\" and \"No automations\" — how to fix
What these labels on the accounts page mean and why you need to reconnect Instagram with all permissions on.
When you connect Instagram, Instagram itself shows a permissions screen: what Craft will be able to do on the account's behalf. If you turn some of them off there, the account still connects, but some features won't work.
What the labels mean#
On the My accounts page Craft checks which permissions each Instagram account has and shows a label if something is missing:
| Label | What doesn't work |
|---|---|
| No publishing | Posts, carousels and Reels to this account won't go out: Instagram didn't allow Craft to publish |
| No automations | Comment auto-replies, DM funnels and the AI agent don't work |
| Reconnect | Both are missing |
If you turned some permissions off while connecting, Craft tells you right away — not when the first post fails.
How to fix it#
- Open My accounts.
- Click Connect account → Instagram and log in to the same account.
- On the Instagram screen keep every permission on and confirm.
Your funnels, auto-replies, scheduled posts and stats stay — reconnecting only refreshes the access. The label disappears within half an hour, and upcoming scheduled posts go out on their own.
⚠️ If Instagram has already rejected a post, Craft sends a "Publishing failed" notification with a Reconnect button. Craft won't resend that post by itself: after reconnecting, open Publishing and click Retry on it.
