Pinterest — publish carousels and images to your boards
How to connect Pinterest, choose a board, add a link to your Pin, and what happens to carousels longer than five slides.
Craft publishes carousels and images to Pinterest the same way it does to Instagram and TikTok: from the carousel editor or from the Publishing page. The Pin lands on the board you choose, and a tap on it takes people wherever you point it: your website, a funnel or a Telegram bot.
How it works#
- You connect your Pinterest once on the Accounts page.
- When publishing, you tick your Pinterest account next to the others.
- A Pinterest card appears under the account list: choose a board there and, if you like, a link.
- Craft creates the Pin. If you publish several images, you get a carousel Pin.
What you need#
- A Pinterest account. A business account works best: you can switch a personal one for free in your Pinterest settings.
- At least one board. If you have none, you can create one right in the publishing window.
Step 1. Connect Pinterest#
Accounts → Connect → Pinterest → Continue with Pinterest. Pinterest opens: sign in and allow Craft to publish Pins. Your account then appears in the Pinterest column.
💡 Craft only sees your own boards and Pins. We never receive your Pinterest password.
Step 2. Choose a board#
Open carousel publishing or the Publishing page and tick your Pinterest account. A card with a Board field appears. Craft remembers the last board used for each account, so next time you won't have to pick it again.
Don't see the board you need? Tap “+ New board”, type a name and tap Create: the board is created on Pinterest and selected right away.
⚠️ No board, no Pin. Until a board is chosen, the Publish button stays disabled.
Step 3. Add a link (optional)#
In the Pin link field, paste where people should land when they tap the Pin: a page, a funnel link, a Telegram bot. The address must start with https://. You can leave the field empty.
💡 Pins keep bringing people in for months. Linking a Pin to a funnel turns it into a steady source of leads.
How to check it works#
Publish a carousel to one board. On the Publishing page the post gets the Published status, and on Pinterest the Pin appears on the chosen board.
If it doesn't work#
| Symptom | Cause |
|---|---|
| The Publish button is grey | One of the ticked Pinterest accounts has no board selected |
| “Couldn't load boards” | Your Pinterest access has expired. Reconnect the account on the Accounts page and tap Try again |
| Your Pinterest account is missing when publishing Reels | Pinterest currently takes images and carousels only; videos aren't published there |
What's not there yet#
- Video. Reels aren't published to Pinterest yet.
- More than five slides in one Pin. Pinterest fits at most 5 images into a carousel Pin. If your carousel is longer, the first five go to Pinterest, and the publishing window warns you in advance.
- Conveyors. Automatic publishing from the Content Factory to Pinterest isn't supported yet.
- Pin statistics in Craft are coming later.
