A course with lessons in Craft and access after payment
How to give a buyer access to your course straight from a Telegram funnel, what they see in the Learning section, and where people usually trip up.
Craft can host a course with lessons: videos, text and tasks live in the Learning section, and buyers get access on their own — right after paying in your Telegram funnel. They don't need to create a password or sign up: the bot sends an Open lessons button, and the course opens in one tap.
⚠️ Creating courses is in early access. The “Create course” button isn't visible to every account yet. Students don't need to turn anything on: the Learning section appears for them as soon as at least one course is open to them.
How it works#
- You build a course: lessons in order, each with a video link, text and, if needed, a task.
- After payment, your funnel has an Action → Open course access step.
- When the funnel reaches that step, the person gets access, and the bot sends them an Open lessons button. The button signs them in to Craft with their Telegram — no password, no email. If they had no Craft account, one is created automatically.
- If the payment has the buyer's email, the same link is sent by email.
- Then the person goes through the lessons in order, and you see where everyone stopped.
What you need#
- A Telegram bot connected to Craft and a funnel with a payment step.
- Lesson videos on Kinescope, YouTube, VK Video or Rutube.
Step 1. Build the course#
Open Learning → Create course. Enter a title and, briefly, what the student gets.
Add lessons with Add lesson. In each lesson:
- Video link — copy the video address from the platform's page. Under the field Craft shows whether the player will be embedded.
- Lesson text — description, key points, links. Start lists with “- ” or “1. ”, make text bold like this:
**word**. - Bonus lesson — open right away and doesn't hold students back on the main lessons.
- Task — what the person should do after the lesson (see below).
Change the order with the arrows next to each lesson. Student view shows the course through the buyer's eyes.
Step 2. Add the action to your funnel#
In the funnel builder, after the payment step, on the paid branch, add an Action and choose Open course access. Pick the course in the list below it.
Nothing else to set up: Craft sends the button and the email itself.
Step 3. Test it on yourself#
Go through the funnel from a second Telegram account (or ask a friend). Tap Open lessons in the bot — the course should open.
💡 Your main account won't work for this test if you're the course author: you already see the whole course without locks.
What students see#
- All lessons in a list. The lesson they're on is marked You are here.
- The next lesson opens when the person taps I've watched it on the previous one. They can tap it without finishing the video — it's their choice.
- Bonus lessons are open right away.
- A lesson with a task has a Done button. Some tasks Craft checks itself — then there's a Check button instead.
- Progress is saved: they can continue on a phone or a computer.
Tasks and automatic checks#
You choose the task type in the lesson:
| Type | How it gets marked |
|---|---|
| Manual | The student taps “Done” |
| Craft connected to Claude | Craft sees that the student connected the MCP connector (Claude or ChatGPT) |
| Post published | Craft sees a published post of the student in Publishing |
| Funnel turned on | The student has a funnel turned on |
| First payment | A payment came through in the student's funnel |
The Require the task switch decides whether the next lesson opens before the task is done. It's off by default: people can watch everything first and do the tasks later. If it's on and Craft checks the task, it can't be marked manually.
Students and progress#
The Students tab shows everyone: whether they've entered the course, which lesson they're on, and which lessons they opened, watched, or completed the task for. Where students get stuck shows the lesson where people stop.
You can also close access here — the course disappears for the person and their button stops working. Restore access with the same button.
Pitfalls#
🔴 The Open lessons button only arrives in a Telegram bot. This action doesn't work in Instagram and VK funnels: students sign in to the lessons with Telegram.
⚠️ The email is sent only if the payment provided one. The payment step asks the buyer for an email — that's the address we use. No email — only the button in the bot.
⚠️ The button works for 7 days. After that, the person signs in to Craft with Telegram — the same account they paid with — and finds the course in the Learning section.
⚠️ The video must allow embedding. On YouTube the video has to be public or unlisted with embedding allowed; on Kinescope and other platforms check the privacy settings. Otherwise the student sees the platform's error in the player. If Craft doesn't recognize a link, the student sees it as a plain link.
💡 Repeats don't duplicate. If a person goes through the funnel again, no second access is created, and the button and email aren't sent again within a day.
