Attachments in funnel messages — photos, video, files, voice and round videos
What you can attach to a Telegram funnel message, how to send a voice note or a round video message, and which Telegram limits apply.
Any funnel message can carry a file: a photo, a video, a document (PDF, Word, Excel, slides, archive) or audio. In Telegram, audio and video can also arrive the way people send them in a real chat — as a voice note or as a round video message.

One attachment per block. If you need to send both a guide and a video, use two blocks in a row.
⚠️ Documents and voice notes work in Telegram funnels. Instagram has no such message types — there you keep photos, video and audio.
Step 1. Attach a file#
Open the message block, click "Add photo, video or file" and pick a file from your computer. It appears inside the block, where you can remove it with the cross and attach another one.
The caption is the text of the same block, and buttons are added as usual — both arrive together with the attachment.
Step 2. Send it as a voice note#
Attach an audio file and a checkbox appears under it: "Send as a voice message". With it on, the person gets the familiar waveform bubble instead of a player card.
Record the file anywhere, in any format from the table — we convert it to a voice note ourselves.
Step 3. Send it as a round video#
Attach a video and a checkbox appears under it: "Send as a video message (round)". The clip arrives as a round video message, like one recorded on a phone.
The clip does not have to be square — we crop a square from the center. If it runs longer than a minute, only the first 60 seconds fit; that is a Telegram limit, and the editor warns you about it up front.
⚠️ A round message never carries a caption. The block text arrives as the next message, with the buttons under it. That is how Telegram works, and it cannot be worked around.
Worth knowing up front#
🔴 Some people do not accept voice notes and round videos. Telegram has a privacy setting that blocks them from strangers. For such a person we automatically send the same file as a regular video or audio track — the content still arrives, only the form changes. Nothing to check manually.
⚠️ The first send is slightly slower. Voice notes and round videos are prepared for Telegram's format, so the very first recipient waits a few extra seconds. After that the file is sent instantly to everyone else.
💡 Your plan includes a storage quota for funnel files. Once it runs out, uploads stop working — delete files you no longer use or move to a higher plan.
What is not available yet#
- You cannot attach several files to one block — use several blocks.
- You cannot replace the media in an already sent message: Telegram only allows editing text and captions.
- There is no drag-and-drop into the block — use the button.
