AI for content creation — how Craft makes carousels, posts and a content plan

The AI content generator in Craft writes carousels and captions, draws images, collects topics and publishes to Instagram, TikTok, Threads, YouTube and Telegram. What it does, what it costs and what it doesn't do yet.

Updated: October 17, 2026

In short: AI for content creation in Craft lives in one place. You tell the Craft chat what you need — the AI suggests headlines, writes the carousel text, draws images, and the finished post goes out to your social networks straight from Craft, with no files to download.

Below: what the AI content generator in Craft can do, how to build a content plan with it, and where its limits are.

What can AI for content creation do in Craft?#

  • Carousels. Write "make a carousel about…" — the chat shows styles as cards, suggests headlines and draws the slides right in the message. Edits are in words: "darker cover", "a different example on slide three".
  • Text. Headlines, slide text, post captions. You can attach a file — an article, a guide, a PDF — and ask "make a carousel from this article".
  • Images. The "Image generation" section makes a picture from a description: covers, backgrounds, illustrations. You can attach your own photo and ask to rework it.
  • Topics. The idea bank keeps other people's posts and videos you want to redo your way, and "Competitors" shows which topics took off for others.
  • Publishing. A finished post goes to Instagram, TikTok, Threads, YouTube, Pinterest and a Telegram channel from one window — now or on a schedule.

The chat remembers your habits on its own: how many slides you like, what your product is about, "shorter headlines", "no emoji". Next time it doesn't ask again.

  1. Open the Craft chat and write a topic: "make a carousel about beginner mistakes in nutrition coaching".
  2. Pick a style from the cards. There are eight, plus ten ready-made designs — see Carousel styles.
  3. Pick a cover headline from the options.
  4. Look at the slides in the message. Tap a slide to open it large; you can fix the text by hand for free.
  5. Press "Publish" under the carousel, or "Download" if you need the files.

Say "just make it" — and the chat draws it without questions.

💡 Your own design works too: send a picture of a carousel you like, and the chat picks the closest style. Like it — "save as my style".

⚠️ Instagram accepts only 4:5 and 1:1 in a carousel. Vertical 9:16 suits TikTok and Threads. More on sizes in AI carousels and publishing to Instagram, TikTok and Threads.

Can AI make a social media content plan?#

Craft has no separate "make a content plan" button. Here the plan comes from three places:

  1. Topics. Ask the chat for topics in your niche, or take them from the idea bank and "Competitors". The bank lives under "Competitors" → "Idea bank", and you can send links to it via the Craft bot in Telegram — see Idea bank.
  2. Calendar. On the Publishing page, posts are set to "Schedule". Planned posts show in the upcoming feed and in the "Calendar" view — see Publishing.
  3. Pipeline. If you want posts to make themselves, use Content Factory: a pipeline creates a carousel or Reels on schedule and publishes to the chosen accounts. One pipeline can run several accounts — see One pipeline for several accounts.

⚠️ Content Factory works only on paid plans. When the plan ends, pipelines pause and the settings are kept.

AI for writing content: which model to pick#

Next to the "Style" button by the input field you choose the model:

  • Haiku 5.5 — the default for everyone. Fast and economical: a message costs 1–3 credits, a new carousel 2–4.
  • Sonnet 5 — stronger at text, a carousel costs 15–30 credits. Available on paid plans.
  • Opus 5.5 — the strongest, about twice the price of Sonnet. Available on Premium.

The message price is shown right in the model picker. You can switch models anytime, even mid-conversation. All prices are in Credits.

💡 Already working in your own Claude or ChatGPT? Connect the MCP connector — your AI will make carousels and posts right in Craft using your subscription there.

AI for business and content: what else is nearby#

Content is half the job. Someone saw the post — now they need to become a lead. Craft has funnels and auto-replies for that: they message the person in DMs by a keyword under the post — see Instagram comment auto-reply to DM. An AI agent can answer questions in DMs — see AI agent.

How much it costs#

Chat, images and AI agent replies are paid with one set of credits. The free plan gives 15 credits a month, and the chat runs on Haiku 5.5. Solo gives 450 credits a month — about 50 carousels made by chatting on Haiku 5.5. A "Standard" image costs 1 credit.

🔴 Actions with consequences only after your "yes". Publish, broadcast, turn on a funnel, delete — the chat asks first.

What's not there yet#

  • A separate "monthly content plan" button. The plan comes from topics, the Publishing calendar and pipelines.
  • Different content for different accounts in one pipeline. A pipeline makes one post and publishes it to all chosen accounts. Need unique content — create separate pipelines.
  • Carousels on YouTube — only videos go there.
  • 9:16 carousels on Instagram — Instagram doesn't accept that size.

FAQ#

Which AI is best for content creation?#

For everyday carousels and captions Haiku 5.5 is enough — it's the default and the cheapest. If text matters more than price, take Sonnet 5 on a paid plan. You can switch the model by the input field anytime.

Yes, the free plan has 15 credits a month, and a new carousel on Haiku 5.5 costs 2–4 credits. Editing slide text by tapping is free.

Can AI make a social media content plan?#

The chat suggests topics, and you build the schedule by date on the Publishing page or hand it to Content Factory, which makes and publishes posts itself. Craft doesn't produce a separate "content plan" document.

Do I need to download images to publish a post?#

No. A carousel made in Craft is published right from Craft. You can download the PNGs, but you don't need them to publish.

Will the text sound like me and not like a robot?#

The chat remembers your notes and habits: "shorter headlines", "no emoji", what your product is about. The more edits you give, the closer the next text is to yours.
