Comment auto-reply for a funnel — one for all funnels, keywords sync on their own
How to connect an existing comment auto-reply to an Instagram funnel and why you no longer need to copy keywords into it.
An auto-reply is a public reply under the post to anyone who comments a keyword: "Sent you a DM ✅". The funnel itself messages the person privately; the auto-reply shows everyone under the post that the message went out.
One auto-reply for all funnels#
An account usually uses the same auto-reply for every funnel. So you don't need a new one per funnel — just connect the one you have.
- Open the funnel in the builder.
- Tap Connect auto-reply in the header.
- The window lists this Instagram account's auto-replies — tap Connect next to the one you want. Or Create a new auto-reply: it saves, connects to the funnel right away and brings you back to the builder.
The button turns green — Auto-reply connected. If the connected auto-reply is paused, the button is yellow and the window has a Turn on button.
💡 On a phone the button is shortened to "Auto-reply": the icon and colour show whether it's connected.
No need to copy keywords#
The auto-reply answers the keywords of every connected funnel, matched the same way the funnel matches them: exact match or contains. Change or add a keyword in the funnel's Triggers and the auto-reply answers the new one; remove it and it stops. Nothing to type into the auto-reply itself.
The auto-reply can keep its own keywords too — it answers those as well. And once at least one funnel is connected, you can save the auto-reply with no keywords of its own.
The auto-reply form has a Funnels section: which funnels are connected and which of their keywords it answers. You can disconnect a funnel there.
When the auto-reply won't answer a funnel's keywords#
- The funnel is off. Otherwise the post would say "Sent you a DM" while no message arrives. Turn the funnel on and its keywords work again.
- The funnel doesn't start from comments (for example, only from direct messages) — the connect window warns you.
- The funnel has no keywords — nothing to answer, and the window tells you so.
⚠️ You can only connect an auto-reply from the same Instagram account. If the funnel has no account yet, pick one first.
⚠️ A funnel has one auto-reply. Connect another one and the previous one is disconnected from this funnel automatically.
